Our Noble Land.

May 27, 2010

—Orpheus Everts.

M.E. Church, Bently, Kansas.

THANK GOD! for this our native land!
O’er which the wings of peace are spread!
Where Plenty opens wide her hand,
And gives to all sustaining bread!

Our land, the land of Freedom still,
Where hands and hearts and minds are free!
Where no enemy enslaves the will,
And Justice rules from sea to sea!

Thank God! for this our native land!
O’er which the wings of peace are spread!
Where Plenty opens wide her hand,
And gives to all sustaining bread!

Once more, and yet again once more
We raise our voices, while our hearts beat high,
With love, thanksgiving, joy and praise,
To Him who rules o’er land and sea!
